About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Instead of forcing yourself to fit the system, what if you could just be yourself?

The western world was not built for people of color. How could it be when the foundation of the West is rooted colonization, imperialism, and slavery?

Most of us grin and bear through these unfair conditions because we are economically dependent on these systems of oppression. But the reality is that these structural barriers reduce our opportunities, lower our quality of life, and take a toll on our physical health and mental well-being.

You need a space to heal from all the constant onslaught of racism you’ve faced in your life. With that space, maybe you can begin to reimagine what our collective liberation could look like.

In this mini-workshop, we will talk about:

  • How racial trauma prevents us from living our best lives
  • Why we can't thrive in systems that were made to oppress us
  • Reimagining our collective liberation

This workshop isn't just us talking at you. There will be time for self-reflection and group discussion so come prepared to interact with your peers!

The workshop is a free demo to our 8-month Find Your Voice program, which you can check out here: https://www.abetterforce.com/voices
